Pettigru Place Bed and Breakfast is nestled in the heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina surrounded by the gracious homes of the Pettigru Historic District.  This perfect romantic getaway features beautifully appointed common rooms, five luxurious guest rooms, and a wonderful English garden providing superb Greenville lodging in the northwest corner of Upstate South Carolina.  The Innkeeper will greet you with a smile and soon have you tucked away in your room relaxing while enjoying a glass of wine and cheese board.

Relax outside in the Adirondack chairs or take a turn on the swinging bench and enjoy the flowers blooming in the English garden.  Each morning, wake to the enticing aroma of a full gourmet breakfast such as Apple Pie Belgian Waffles (topped with vanilla ice cream!) served with crispy bacon or Strawberry Banana Crepes followed by a Ham and Zucchini Frittata topped with lightly toasted cheddar cheese.  We promise you won’t leave hungry!

Take a short stroll down to the charming turn of the century Main Street with its canopy of trees, shaded benches, and Falls Park on the Reedy River.  Enjoy the Mast General Store with its old wood floors, eclectic selection of candy by the barrel, or drop in to the Barkery Bistro and find the perfect gift for Fluffy.  When you’re ready for a break from shopping stop by Spill the Beans and try one of their many delicious ice cream flavors.  The Main Street area includes the Restaurant District with more than 60 unique restaurants, the Peace Center for Performing Arts, the Bi-Lo Center Arena for concerts and sporting events, as well as the Little Theatre, the Warehouse Theatre, Centre Stage, and Café and Then Some Dinner Theater for their unique theatrical events.  We are minutes away from Furman and Bob Jones Universities, as well as easy driving distance to Clemson University.  For a complete list of events in the area, please see our Calendar.

If you are looking for outdoor adventure, Greenville is the doorway to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Upstate area of South Carolina includes some of the most beautiful areas of the state for rest and recreation.  Paris Mountain State Park with canoeing, horseback riding, bicycling and hiking is only 15 minutes away.  Visit a waterfall and let us give you directions to one of the 20 in the area.  Or visit Caeser’s Head State Park and watch the eagles flying below you.  Visit one of the area farms such as Happy Cow Creamery for a tour (and ask them why their cows are happier) or drop by our local microbrewery, Thomas Creek Brewery, and try one of their small batch creations.
