Thursday, December 21 Sugar and Spice Pecans

Today we move outside to introduce you to Dehanna, our incredible gardener!  Dehanna recently moved to Greenville from Florida, and just happened to stay at the Bed & Breakfast one weekend with her mother.  Several in depth conversations about potting soil and pansies later, and we had a new employee!  She brings to us a love of the outdoors,  a sharp eye for detail, and a crazy sense of humor that fits right in with the rest of us.  All the annuals are re-planted every year in the spring and fall, and that is no small feat!  It takes about a million flats (give or take a few) of tiny plants to fill all the nooks and crannies around the house and in the yard, and Dehanna has truly been able to bring Lori's vision to reality.  In addition to keeping the garden alive, and beautiful, she has taken over all the outdoor seasonal decorations.  We've only just begun to scratch the surface of her wonderful-ness, and we are thrilled to welcome her into our happy family.

This recipe is good to use for last minute hostess gifts, and just for keeping around all the time!  They are great sprinkled on a salad, or over ice cream, or just by the handful!  Enjoy!
